The Reason-Rupe Poll:

The poll's sample was made up of 44 percent Democrats, 26 percent
Republicans and 24 percent independents. And yet, 62 percent support
reducing the number of state government employees, while just 33 percent
oppose cutting the state workforce.

Fifty-nine percent of
those surveyed say government regulations often do more harm than good.
And an even higher number, 65 percent of likely voters, believe the laws
and regulations passed by the state legislature make it more likely
that businesses will move their jobs to other states. Merely 24 percent
think the legislature's actions help create jobs in California.

I am just saying NO to Prop 30. Even in a poll with a majority
Democratic makeup they still want less government spending and believe the government does not have our best interest in mind. So if you
want less government spending why in the world would you vote to be able
to write them a 6 billion dollar check? ESPECIALLY when California is
already the highest taxed state and ESPECIALLY since not 100% will
actually go to the schools for which many are basing their vote!

The choices made Nov 6 will determine the state's course for
years. Both Prop 32, 30 levy significant taxes on Californians.

The wounds that Prop 30, 32
are to heal have been self inflicted largely by elected officials in
Sacramento who simply do not say no to any influential interest group (lobbyists) be they public
employees, business, teachers or other unions or environmental groups.

And now the Sacramento politicians and their lobbyists are using
Prop 32, 30, 38 to blackmail us.

Vote! Vote No on Prop 32, 30, 38. Save
California for our children.

No way!

Prop 30 is a massive tax increase supported by the tax and spend California Democrats, most notably Governor Jerry Brown.

Prop 32 is opposed to the public employee unions who use payroll deductions from their employees to pay off the Democratic POLS in Sacramento with campaign contributions.

Vote No on 30 and Yes on 32!

And, for what?

More wasteful State of California spending from welfare, to higher education to high-speed rail bond interest.

Proposition 30 is bad public policy, horrible tax policy, and an abuse of the democratic initiative process. It was specifically "electioneered" to circumvent the 2/3rds majority requirement in the California Legislatures--a key taxpayer protection mechanism.

Proposition 30 is the WRONG MEDICINE for what ails California. It raises taxes without addressing any of the structural and spending issues that have damaged our private-sector economy.

VOTE NO on PROPOSITION 30. The more people learn about it, the less they like it.

"where there is smoke there is fire". Roger has been running wild and wreaking havoc everywhere he goes. The DUI is no surprise; he is often seen out late, at bars, drinking to the point of sloppiness with women much younger than he is. He is known as a hard partying womanizer, and rumors of violence towards women are circulating. He was recently seen out partying with Consuelo "Connie" Perez from Porterville, the newely appointed state lottery commissioner, and treasurer for the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce. Obviously new to politics, Perez needs to get some pointers from the governor about avoiding Hernandez. The Latino caucus, insiders say, is tiring of the bad PR for them and for the Dems. His timing for his most recent trouble couldn't come at a worse time for him.

With the sham budget and the Legislature passing a billion-dollar boondoggle train system, the rating agencies HAVE TO downgrade California. Otherwise, they'll have NO credibility.

No doubt, California needs spending reform and likely needs additional revenue. However, when you're ALREADY tops across a broad range of tax categories, you don't have many options. High public spending and high taxes has only produced a bad business climate, chasing jobs out of the state.

Governor Brown's tax hike, Proposition 30, is horrible tax policy and even worse public policy. It's an abuse of the democratic process.

The very acronym for the “SAFE” Act is bogus. The costs claimed by SAFE are exaggerated and the costs of the “SAFE” Act’s life imprisonment would be much more expensive due to life-time medical costs, the increased security required to coerce former death-row inmates to work, etc. The amount “saved” in order to help fund law enforcement is negligible and only for a short period of time. (It is nothing more than a bribe in a vain effort to obtain conservative votes.) Bottom line, the “SAFE” Act is another attempt by those who are responsible for the high costs and lack of executions to now persuade voters to abandon it.
